Rainwater Harvesting

The Problem

Increasing development and changes in natural environments such as land deforestation, climate change, and loss of agricultural lands have a big negative impact on Bali’s natural water resources.

Lack of infrastructure to supply water amongst all the population and remote resource poor areas.

Poor water sanitation and hygiene facilities, domestic sewage, industrial effluents, agricultural runoff, and mismanaged waste often pollute groundwater and surface water systems.

Solutions

Rainwater harvesting systems to capture and store water with a high sanitation degree.

Bringing Rain water harvesting systems to low resource communities.

Expected Impact

Lifetime water security for communities in need.

Decrease amount of water runoff throughout Bali.
